Birth Certificate Protecting a Child's Rights According to Article 7 of the United Nations Child Rights Sanctions, "Birth-registration has to be done after the birth of a child. They have the right to know nationality, name and parental identification and to be celebrated. "On July 2, 1873, the then British government issued the registration of birth registration in undivided Bengal.
With the help of UNICEF-Bangladesh in 2001-2006, the birth registration process began in 28 districts and 4 city corporations in the country through the pilot project, in spite of the change of geographical, political as well as legal changes in the country during the period of 2001. In continuation of this law, the government introduced and abolished the law of 1873 and introduced the law on 7th December, 2004, ie Birth and Death Registration Act, 2004.
The Act came into force on July 3, 2006. After the pilot project of 2001-2006, the project ends in June 2012, beginning in 2007, named the Birth and Death Registration Project (2nd phase).
Birth and Death Registration Process In order to maintain a stable database of continuous, dynamic and birth and death of the citizens of the country, the government has established the Registrar General, Birth and Death Registrar Office in September 2013, amending the existing Birth and Death Registration Act.
