Kawkhali is the third smallest upazila of the Rangamati Hill District of Bangladesh. The hill and the Bengali people are living together in peace, prosperity and cordiality in this upazila.
Its origins from the sensual rhyme / canal. It has got mixed with the Ichhamati river from the Kalachara area of Ghagra union. Ghagra union has been named after this Ghagra rhyme / canal. In 1982, after dividing the Union Sanghatan Union into 4 unions, it is known that the Ghagra union was formed after 3. After the creation of this union, all complaints of residents of the union were settled through compromise in the presence of both sides in the context of the application received in the village court.
